
A new era for student athletics in Margibi County officially commenced recently with the induction of the new leadership of the Inter-School Sports Association (ISSA).
The ceremony, held in Kakata City, saw a gathering of prominent sports administrators, enthusiasts, media, and guests, all present to witness this significant event.
The induction was officiated by Mr. V. Murvee Gray, Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, who extended his congratulations and encouragement to the newly appointed team. In his keynote address, Gray highlighted ISSA’s crucial role in fostering unity and nurturing talent among high school students.
He underscored that ISSA operates as a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting students through sports, enabling them to display their inherent abilities, particularly during the academic year.
Gray urged the new leadership to maintain focus on their primary objectives, emphasizing the importance of integrity and commitment in elevating school sports within the county.

Speaking on behalf of the new team, Chairperson Ton K. Kekula Jr. conveyed his sincere gratitude to the ISSA executive leadership and all stakeholders for their trust. He pledged the new leadership’s diligent efforts to further the Association’s objectives.
“We are fully committed to promoting high school sports across Margibi County,” Mr. Kekula affirmed. “Together, we will create more opportunities for students to grow, learn, and shine through sports.”
The induction ceremony is anticipated to usher in a dynamic and productive tenure for the new leadership, with high expectations for the revitalization and expansion of student sports throughout Margibi County.
