NPA and the Ministry of Gender sponsored gender-sensitive workshop

MONROVIA – On May 9, 2025, the National Port Authority (NPA), in partnership with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, held a one-day training workshop on “Gender and Social Inclusion” at its headquarters on Bushrod Island.

The workshop was attended by Mr. James Richard Bernard, the NPA Deputy Managing Director for Administration; Edward Esiah, Chief of Office Staff to the Managing Director; and Vashti H. Sirleaf, Head of Human Resources and other senior staff members of the NPA.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Bernard emphasized the importance of gender mainstreaming and inclusive practices to enhance workplace effectiveness and ensure equal opportunities for all.

The interactive training covered key topics such as gender-responsive planning, budgeting, and the role of public entities in advancing gender-focused policies.

The NPA extends its appreciation to the Ministry of Gender for its collaboration in making this training a success.
