
MONROVIA – In a significant political development, the House of Representatives of Liberia commenced the election process for a new Speaker following the resignation of Cllr. J. Fonita Koffa.
This resignation came in light of a ruling from the Honorable Supreme Court of Liberia, prompting the urgent need for a new leadership to guide the legislative body.
During the election, Representatives Musa Hassan Bility from Nimba County District #7 garnered 26 votes, whereas Representative Richard Nagbe Koon emerged victorious with a total of 43 votes out of the 69 cast.
