
WASHINGTON D.C. – US President Donald Trump has strongly condemned the killing of two Israeli Embassy staff.
Yaron Lischinsky, 30, and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, 26, were gunned down in Washington D.C. on the night of Wednesday, May 21st, 2025. The pair were said to have been leaving an event that was hosted by the American Jewish Committee when they were shot and reportedly died on the spot.
The DC Metropolitan Police Department arrested 31-year-old Elias Rodriguez, who is from Chicago at the scene.
Rodriguez was charged on Thursday with first-degree murder and other crimes, including hate.

When guilty, Rodriguez may face the death penalty as suggested by Jeanine Pirro, the interim US Attorney in Washington D. C., at a press conference.
Following the shooting, eyewitness told CNN that Rodriguez was heard saying “I did it for Gaza” and “Free Palestine.”
According to Mr. Yechiel Leiter, Israeli Israel’s Ambassador to the US, said the victims were about to be engaged as couple.
The US President further sent his condolence message to the families of Yaron and Sarah
“These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on anti-semitism, must end, NOW!” he said. “Hatred and radicalism have no place in the USA.”
