
WOHRN, MARGIBI – In a significant display of commitment to the development of local youth, Senate Protemp Nyonblee Karngar-Lawrence has taken decisive action by presenting a financial donation of L$500,000 to the Grassroots Initiative for Development and Democratic Advancement (GIDDA).
This funding is aimed at supporting GIDDA’s initial operations, which focus on empowering young people in the community.
During her announcement, Senator Lawrence emphasized the importance of investing in education and opportunities for the youth of District #5.
To further this mission, she pledged an additional US$10,000 in scholarships specifically designated for students in the district. This initiative aims to alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by students and encourage academic excellence.
In her ongoing efforts to provide even greater opportunities, the Senator has also requested that GIDDA nominate two deserving students for international scholarships funded by her office.

These scholarships will facilitate study opportunities in Rwanda, allowing selected students to gain invaluable international experience and education.
