MONROVIA – Protesters resumed their demonstrations today, Tuesday, June 3, entering the second day of intense protests against Ansu Dulleh, the Chairman of the All-Liberian Coalition Party (ALCOP), outside the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA).

The activists accuse Dulleh of corruption and mismanagement, calling for his immediate resignation from all party-related activities.

The atmosphere at the NDMA remains charged as demonstrators, including a sizable number of ALCOP members, voice their discontent over Dulleh’s leadership.

Allegations of corruption within the party have prompted members to demand accountability and transparency from their leader.

“We will not rest until Ansu Dulleh steps down from all party activities,” declared one of the protest leaders, who didn’t say his name even though he was asked. “His failure to provide jobs and proper leadership for party members is unacceptable.”

Many protesters expressed frustration and a sense of betrayal, claiming that Dulleh’s actions have directly impacted their livelihoods.

They argue that due to his lack of effective leadership, many loyal party supporters have not been given job opportunities or the support they deserve.

The protests, which began peacefully, have drawn attention from various sectors, highlighting growing dissatisfaction within the political ranks of ALCOP.

There is an increasing call for reform within the party, with members insisting that new leadership must take the helm to restore faith in ALCOP’s commitments to its constituents.

As day two of the protests unfolds, the demonstrators have vowed to sustain their efforts until their demands are met.

They have rallied with banners and chants, drumming up support from passersby and drawing media attention, amplifying their calls for change.

In response to the protests, there has been no official comment from Ansu Dulleh or the ALCOP leadership as tensions continue to rise. Observers remain watchful for how this situation will develop, particularly as divisions within the party could have broader implications for its political future. The peaceful demonstrations signify a yearning for accountability within the political landscape of Liberia, as citizens increasingly seek to hold their leaders responsible for their governance and its impact on the community.
