The Roberts International Airport resumes full and normal operations

MONROVIA- The Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) is pleased to confirm the full resumption of operations at Roberts International Airport (RIA).

Flights are departing and arriving as scheduled, and normal airport activities have resumed.

This morning, Air Maroc successfully departed RIA, while Asky Airlines landed and is preparing for departure.

Pilgrims travelling to Mecca have begun the check-in process and are expected to leave the country as planned.

This return to normalcy follows the successful removal of a private aircraft from the active path of the runway.

On Thursday, May 29, 2025, the aircraft experienced a tyre burst upon landing, causing it to become temporarily immobile on the active portion of the runway.

The Liberia Airport Authority thanks all passengers, airline partners, and stakeholders for their patience and cooperation during the temporary disruption.

LAA remains committed to ensuring safety, efficiency, and service excellence at all times.
