Rover Ladies FC honors players and staffs

Rover Ladies Football Club has honored 10 players and staff members for their dedication, passion, and hard work during the just-ended 2024/2025 Nimba County Sub-Association Lower Women’s League.

Speaking at the awards ceremony on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Bilical School, Wood Camp, CEO and President of Rover Ladies FC, Rochell Woodson, extended heartfelt appreciation to LFA Second Vice President, Adolphus Dolo, and LFA President, Mustapha I. Raji, for their words of encouragement, which she said inspired her to own a team.

Madam Woodson reflected on her journey, noting that after more than 30 years in football, she is deeply grateful to now be the owner of a club.

She highlighted the team’s remarkable progress, rising from the lower league to the playoffs, and expressed confidence that Rover Ladies will secure promotion to the First Division in the upcoming season.

She further praised the players and staff for their passion and commitment:

“I have not seen a team so dedicated. Even when they lose, the girls call me, encourage me, and remind me that they will come back stronger,” she said.

Also speaking, LFA Second Vice President Adolphus Dolo extended gratitude to the players and staff of Rover Ladies FC for their efforts in reaching the playoffs. He encouraged the girls to stay focused, stressing that national team players are not necessarily better than them.

“You are all the same; the more work you put in, the more results you will get,” he emphasized.

Mr. Dolo urged the team to take individual training seriously rather than waiting solely for group sessions.

He concluded by praising Naneka Hoffman, Chief Administrator of Let’s Promote Women Football, for her outstanding contributions to women’s football in Liberia, describing her as a selfless figure who treats every team and player as her own.
