
Sinoe County Senator, Cllr. Augustine S. Chea, has thrown his support behind the county’s football team with a pledge of USD 500, ahead of their test match against Grand Cape Mount County on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex.
Senator Chea assured members of the Sinoe Sports Steering Committee that the pledged amount will be delivered before kick-off. The assurance followed a courtesy visit paid to him on Saturday by the committee, led by Superintendent Alexander Nah Sleweon.
During the visit, the committee presented its plans and budget for the 2025/2026 National County Sports Meet, outlining preparations and financial needs for the tournament. Superintendent Sleweon emphasized that under his leadership, the committee will make public financial reports detailing contributions from Sinoe citizens at the end of the competition.
Responding to the briefing, steering committee chairman Dennis Grandpa Jarpah Sr. reaffirmed that every dollar collected for this year’s County Meet will be fully accounted for, stressing the committee’s commitment to transparency.
