The President of Tecno Football Academy, Joseph C. Kolva, has announced that the academy will participate in the third edition of the Africa Youth Cup International Soccer Tournament, scheduled to kick off from April 24 to May 3, 2026, in Bo City, Sierra Leone.
Founded on January 15, 2023, in Tusafield, Grassfield Community, Gardnersville, Montserrado County, Monrovia, Tecno Football Academy continues to make steady progress in youth football development. On April 19, 2024, the academy was officially registered and became a duly licensed and affiliated academy under the Liberia Football Association (LFA), operating within the LFA 4th Division League under the Gardnersville Sub-Committee.

Speaking ahead of the international tournament, President Kolva described the academy’s participation as a significant milestone in its mission to nurture young talents and provide them with exposure beyond Liberia’s borders.
The Africa Youth Cup is an international soccer tournament aimed at promoting football academies across the continent while showcasing the skills and talents of young players for potential offshore football career opportunities.
The maiden and second editions of the tournament were hosted by the Cape Verde in April 2019 and October 2023 respectively, on the Island of Santiago in Praia.

The 2026 edition, set for Sierra Leone, is expected to attract academies from across Africa, offering a platform for scouting, networking, and competitive development.
For Tecno Football Academy, the upcoming tournament represents not only an opportunity to compete internationally but also a chance to raise Liberia flag high while creating pathways for young footballers to pursue professional careers abroad.
