
MONROVIA – During the event, the keynote speaker, Mr. James S. Paye, urged the newly inducted leaders and members of the student body to push themselves out of their comfort zones.
He emphasized that by doing so, students could achieve their goals and foster a stronger community.
Paye advocated for a shift away from mere protest, encouraging students to engage in meaningful conversations instead.
He highlighted the importance of moving beyond complacency and breaking free from the confines of stagnation, urging the new administration to lead by example.
He articulated that if students continued to cling to outdated practices and negative behaviors, progress would be impossible.
“Embrace change and reject the elements of the past that do not serve you as a student,” he advised.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment among the students, all inspired to contribute to a more vibrant, cohesive, and empowering academic environment.

Delivering her inaugural address the newly leadership of the University of Liberia Student Initiative League (ULSIL) has outlined a transformative agenda focused on unity, accountable leadership, and the eradication of divisiveness among students. In her inaugural address, the Student Body President emphasized that their initiatives will prioritize the collective interests of the student population over individual agendas.
“Our leadership will work on three pillars: unity, accountable leadership, and decisive action,” she stated. The president highlighted plans to enhance educational facilities and improve health insurance services for all students. “These changes will lead to a significant transformation at our university,” she added.
A key component of the new administration’s strategy includes advocating for greater financial support from the National Government.
The president remarked, “We will be at the doorstep of the National Government to secure budgetary allocations that will directly benefit the University of Liberia.”
Interim President of ULSIL, J. Blio B. Tingbah, echoed the sentiment of prioritizing an improved learning environment, labeling it essential for the overall development of the university. โAn enhanced educational landscape is crucial not only for student success but for the university’s future as a whole,โ Tingbah stated.
The new leadership is poised to engage with various stakeholders to foster an inclusive and supportive academic atmosphere that caters to the needs and aspirations of the student body. With a clear vision and determined approach, ULSIL’s leaders aim to bring about positive changes that will resonate throughout the University of Liberia.
