MONROVIA- The National Port Authority (NPA), in partnership with APM Terminals Liberia and the Liberia Maritime Authority (LiMA), will tomorrow Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 1:00pm host a commissioning ceremony at the Freeport of Monrovia.
The Vice President of Liberia, Jeremiah Kpan Koung, will serve as Special Guest of Honor to officially commission the port and marine equipment and launch nighttime vessel navigational aid. The initiative port users have welcomed as a game-changing development for Liberiaโs port sector.
The event will also feature the cutting of the ribbon and symbolic flag-off. This ceremony will be followed by a tour of the facilities of APM Terminals at the Freeport of Monrovia.
The commissioning of the equipment and night-time navigational aid underscores the governmentโs commitment to infrastructure growth under the ARREST Agenda.
This milestone marks a bold step toward increased efficiency, safety, and competitiveness in regional trade.
