The highly anticipated 6th Annual March Madness Community Tournament is set to kick off on March 13, 2026, bringing ten days of thrilling sporting action and community celebration to Barnersville.

Regarded as one of Liberia’s most exciting community-based sporting festivals, the tournament will once again unite athletes and fans from various communities to compete in football (male and female) and kickball, promoting sportsmanship, unity, and youth development.

This year’s edition will feature 16 male football teams, four female football teams, and eight kickball teams, all battling for top honors and attractive prizes. Winners will walk away with cash prizes, giant trophies, medals, and individual awards including Most Valuable Player (MVP), Highest Goal Scorer, and Best Goalkeeper.

All matches will be played at the Barnersville Estate Stadium, which is expected to attract thousands of spectators from March 13 to March 22, 2026, as communities rally behind their teams in support.

Over the years, the tournament has grown into one of Liberia’s biggest grassroots sporting events, providing a platform for young talents to showcase their skills while strengthening unity among local communities.

In the previous edition, St. Paul Bridge Community emerged champions in the male football category, while New Georgia Community Women’s Team captured the female football title. In the kickball competition, Johnsonville Community Kickball Team claimed the championship. With defending champions determined to retain their crowns and new challengers eager to make their mark, this year’s tournament promises intense competition, colorful moments, and unforgettable sporting drama.
