The February Term of Court officially opened Monday, February 9, 2025, for the resumption of cases, including the Capitol Building Arson case at the Criminal Court ‘A’ under the gavel of Judge Roosevelt. Z. Willie. Prosecuting team in this Case is expected to file for the empanelment of a new jury following the disbandment of the former jury based on evidence of jury infiltration and corruption.
The new jury selection in the coming days raises anxiety among Liberians, who are eager for the adjudication of the case. I urge Prosecution that those to be selected as jurors should meet all requirements, including being apolitical.
Therefore, I encourage all Liberians to follow the proceedings of this case and not allow themselves to be carried away by ethnic, tribal, sentimental and emotional propaganda. Let us disabuse our minds from the propaganda being spewed that Prosecution allegedly framed those being tried, but rather we must be open-minded and follow the proceedings with clear minds.
