Liberia Football Association Mobilization Committee

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has officially unveiled its National Team Mobilization Committee to rally nationwide support for Liberia’s bid to qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. The ceremony, held on Friday, 27 February at the LFA headquarters, brought together key figures from the country’s football community.

LFA President Mustapha Raji described the committee as a strategic step toward strengthening Liberia’s football structure, emphasizing unity behind the Lone Star as the pathway to success. He revealed a proposed US$3 million budget for the national team and tasked the committee with leading fundraising, ticketing, fair engagement, and government collaboration efforts ahead of the qualifiers.

Speaking on behalf of the committee, Chairperson Luther Tarpeh called football Liberia’s greatest unifying force, capable of rising above political and tribal divides. He pledged transparency and accountability while urging Liberians at home and abroad to contribute toward the team’s development. With a call for maximum commitment from players and supporters alike, the message was clear: qualification for AFCON 2027 is a shared national dream and failure is not an option.
