MONROVIA — Embattled political figure Samuel P. Jackson has announced his immediate suspension from the Citizens Movement for Change (CMC), stepping aside from his role as Economic Strategist as legal proceedings against him continue.

“I hereby formally suspend my affiliation and position as Economic Strategist of the Citizens Movement for Change (CMC), effective immediately, pending the conclusion of judicial proceedings involving my person,” Jackson wrote.
The letter, dated April 13, 2026, further reaffirmed his loyalty to the party, noting that he remains committed to its broader goals of “peace, stability, economic growth, and social equity for all Liberians.”
