Welcome to Liberia, Christ for the Nations Mission Team Arrives

-As Eric Wowoh Describes Gathering Life-changing Spiritual, Humanitarian, and Leadership Mission

MONROVIA – Liberia has once again become the center of an international Christian mission outreach following the arrival of a 15-member delegation from Christ for the Nations Institute for what organizers describe as a life-changing spiritual, humanitarian, and leadership mission across the country.

The delegation arrived safely in Liberia on Friday night, May 15, 2026, as part of the institute’s overseas missions program designed to equip students and emerging Christian leaders with practical ministry experience, discipleship training, and global mission exposure.

The development was announced in a widely shared Facebook post by Liberian youth advocate and social transformation activist Eric W. Wowoh, who described the mission as “a powerful and historic moment for the Kingdom of God and the nation of Liberia.”

“These young men and women represent different nations around the world, united by one mission — to serve Jesus Christ, impact lives, discover God’s purpose for their lives, and catch a greater vision for global missions and Kingdom service,” Wowoh wrote.

Third Consecutive Mission to Liberia

Organizers emphasized that this marks the third consecutive year that Christ for the Nations Institute, commonly known as CFNI, has sent mission teams to Liberia — something many local Christian leaders see as evidence of growing international confidence and long-term commitment toward Liberia’s spiritual and social transformation.

“We are especially grateful that this is now the third consecutive year that Christ for the Nations Institute has faithfully sent mission teams to Liberia,” the statement noted.

“This consistency demonstrates genuine love, commitment, and long-term investment in the people and future of Liberia.”

Founded in Dallas, Texas, Christ for the Nations Institute is internationally recognized for training Christian missionaries, worship leaders, pastors, and ministry workers from around the world.

The institution has produced thousands of graduates serving in churches, humanitarian organizations, and mission fields globally.

Mission to Focus on Communities, Youth, and Spiritual Growth

According to organizers, the mission team is expected to engage in evangelism, leadership training, discipleship, youth outreach, prayer programs, school engagements, and community-based humanitarian activities during their stay in Liberia.

The statement explained that the overseas mission experience forms a major component of CFNI’s leadership development curriculum.

“It is designed not only to equip students academically, but also to raise compassionate leaders, missionaries, and world changers who are willing to go wherever God calls them,” the post emphasized.

Over the years, organizers say previous mission trips have provided encouragement, leadership development, mentorship, and practical support to churches, schools, children, families, and underserved communities throughout Liberia.

Liberia Described as ‘Powerful Place for Ministry’

The organizers further praised the resilience, hospitality, and faith of the Liberian people, describing the country as fertile ground for ministry, transformation, and purpose discovery.

“The warmth, resilience, hospitality, and faith of the Liberian people continue to make Liberia a powerful place for ministry, learning, transformation, and purpose discovery,” the statement added.

Liberia remains one of Africa’s most religious countries, with churches and faith-based organizations playing significant roles in education, healthcare, peacebuilding, youth development, and post-war recovery efforts.

Change Agent Network Among Key Partners

Among the major organizations partnering with CFNI for the mission is the Change Agent Network, led by Eric W. Wowoh.

Change Agent Network, commonly known as CAN, is a Liberian-based leadership and youth empowerment initiative focused on mentorship, community transformation, advocacy, leadership development, and social impact programs targeting young people and vulnerable communities.

Over the years, Wowoh has built visibility within Liberia’s youth and faith sectors through motivational speaking, leadership training initiatives, mentorship activities, and grassroots community engagement.

The mission initiative also includes partnerships with the Kathy Justice Girls Educational Foundation Liberia, Care Outreach Initiative, and the New Life Recovery Center.

“These partnerships are helping to build bridges of hope, raise transformational leaders, share the love of Jesus Christ, and advance God’s Kingdom across Liberia and beyond,” the statement declared.

‘Transformation Does Not Happen in Isolation’

A major theme of the announcement centered on the importance of unity and collaboration among ministries, churches, organizations, and communities.

“This mission is also a powerful reminder that meaningful and sustainable transformation does not happen in isolation — it happens through partnership,” Wowoh stressed.

“Alone we can do little, but together we can accomplish far more for the glory of God and the upliftment of humanity.”

The organizers further called on Liberians and Christians around the world to pray for the mission team throughout their stay in the country.

“Please continue to pray with us throughout this mission trip — for safety, wisdom, spiritual growth, divine encounters, and lasting impact in the lives of both the students and the communities they will serve,” the statement urged.

‘The Nations Are Coming Together’

The arrival of the international mission team comes at a time when many churches and faith-based organizations in Liberia are increasing emphasis on youth empowerment, moral transformation, and community outreach amid growing economic and social pressures facing young people.

“The nations are coming together for the glory of God, and Liberia is part of the story,” Wowoh wrote.

Quoting Psalm 133:1, the statement concluded:

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”
