Flashback: HaPSNA news leadership being inducted

MONROVIA – The Health and Public Service Network of Africa (HePSNA) is poised to make a significant impact at its inaugural member states conference in Kigali, Rwanda. As Chairman of HePSNA, Dr. Josiah F. Joekai, Jr. leads a distinguished delegation of experts from Liberia’s Civil Service Agency (CSA) and Ministry of Health (MOH) to this landmark event, aimed at shaping the future of health and public service collaboration across Africa.

The conference will be co-chaired by Dr. Joekai and Dr. Heleyesus Getahun, CEO of the Health Development Partnership for Africa and the Caribbean (HeDPAC).

This pivotal gathering will serve as a platform for sharing best practices, fostering regional partnerships. and strengthening health systems across the continent.

Liberia’s delegation will present the status of the National Community Health Program (NCHP), highlighting the country’s achievements and lessons learned in advancing accessible healthcare.

In March 2025, Liberia hosted the first-ever international conference of the Health and Public Service Network of Africa (HePSNA), where Dr. Josiah F. Joekai, Jr. was elected Chairman.

The organization was established to enhance collaboration among African nations in health service delivery, governance, and public sector development. Founding member states include Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, and Liberia.

HePSNA serves as a continental hub for knowledge exchange, policy alignment, and capacity-building initiatives, working toward sustainable solutions to Africa’s most pressing public health challenges.

The Kigali conference marks a critical milestone in furthering HePSNA’s mission, bringing together leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss innovative strategies for improving healthcare systems and public service efficiency.
