BENTOL, MONTSERRADO CO. — The Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) has officially broken ground for the electrification of Bentol City and Crozierville Township. The ceremony took place on October 14, 2025, at the Bentol Administrative Building, bringing together key stakeholders including the City Mayor, Hon. John Minor; Development Superintendent, Hon. Lucia Tarplah; Crozierville Commissioner, Hon. Nathaniel Holder; along with dozens of eminent citizens, thousands of residents, and representatives from the offices of the Montserrado County District #1 Representative and the Senator of Montserrado County.

The project, implemented under the GAP Community Electrification Project (GCEP) through LECโ€™s Department of Technical Services, is part of the Corporationโ€™s ongoing initiative to connect communities that were previously left out during earlier electrification works.

Spanning approximately 8 kilometers, the project will extend from Mt. Coffee Expressโ€“White Plains, through Crozierville and its surrounding communities, to Bentol City. Once completed, it will provide reliable electricity access to hundreds of households and businesses across the corridor.

The electrification works are expected to be completed within 12 weeks from the date of the groundbreaking ceremony.
