
Round Five of the 2025/26 LFA First Division League delivered excitement across the country, featuring decisive results, standout performances, and notable shifts in the standings.
League leaders Watanga FC maintained their unbeaten run after a tense 1–1 draw with LISCR FC in a top-of-the-table clash.
The result keeps Watanga at the summit with 11 points from five matches, while LISCR drop to third on goal difference, level on 10 points with Paynesville FC.

Paynesville FC continued their impressive start to the campaign with a commanding 3–1 victory over FC Fassell, moving into second place just one point behind Watanga. Fassell, who had beaten LISCR in Round Four, fell to seventh after suffering their second defeat of the season.
Meanwhile, Discoveries SA recorded their best outing of the campaign, defeating Freeport FC 3–1 in Monrovia.
Striker Joel Berry continued his fine form, scoring a brace for the second consecutive match to lift Discoveries to fifth place on seven points from five games.

Borough FC returned to winning ways with a 2–1 victory over Downtown FC, climbing to fourth place with nine points, while Gardnersville FC produced a morale-boosting 3–1 win against LPRC Oilers, moving into eighth position with seven points.
At the same time, Wologisi FC secured a solid 2–0 home victory against FC Bea Mountain, adding to the visitors’ early-season struggles.

Elsewhere, Black Man Warriors and Heaven Eleven played to a goalless draw, with both sides sharing the spoils in a tightly contested encounter.
Warriors sit 11th in the standings with four points, while Heaven Eleven occupy ninth with six.
