Liberia’s football leadership debate has taken a conciliatory tone as Deputy Minister for Sports, G. Andy Quamie, calls for dialogue between rival camps in the ongoing Liberia Football Association (LFA) leadership race.
Speaking on Intel Sports amid rising tensions, Quamie stressed the need for reconciliation between incumbent LFA president Mustapha I. Raji and challenger Cassell Kuoh. He urged both sides to prioritize peace and unity over prolonged disputes that could hinder the growth of the game.

“I can’t say Cassell is qualified to contest,” Quamie noted, “but Team Cassell and Team Raji should find a workable solution. Both of them should sit at the table and make peace.”
Quamie emphasized that the future of Liberian football must remain the central focus, warning that ongoing divisions could slow progress within the sport. He maintained that if both leaders have genuine intentions to develop football in the country, constructive dialogue is the best path forward. His comments come as debates surrounding the LFA presidency continue to intensify, with supporters from both camps actively pushing their agendas. The Deputy Minister call underscores growing concerns within the sports community about preserving unity and stability in Liberia’s football leadership.
