Sekou Konneh and Adolphus Dolo are second and third, respectively from Mustapha Raji; will they maintain their previous posts?

Will Sekou Konneh and Adolphus Dolo Retain Their Positions?

Fresh reports emerging from the corridors of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) indicated that reelected LFA President Mustapha I. Raji was expected on May 27, 2026, to appoint two elected Executive Committee members as First and Second Vice Presidents of the association.

Under the LFA’s current leadership structure, the president now holds the authority to personally appoint his vice presidents from among elected Executive Committee members — a development that has made the anticipated appointments one of the most closely watched issues within Liberia’s football community.

The biggest question dominating discussions among football stakeholders is whether Raji will retain outgoing deputies Sekou Konneh and Adolphus Dolo, both of whom served alongside him during the previous four-year term.

Sources close to the football house suggest that President Raji is strongly considering introducing at least one new face into the leadership hierarchy as part of efforts to reshape and strengthen the administration for another term.

Although no official announcement had been made as of press time, names reportedly being considered for the vice-presidential positions include Executive Committee members Amos Tweh, Christian Weah, and Tickly Monkoney, according to sources familiar with ongoing internal discussions.

The expected appointments are widely seen as crucial to shaping the direction of the LFA administration as the association prepares to embark on another term focused on football development, governance reforms, infrastructure expansion, youth football growth, and improved competitiveness at both local and international levels.

President Mustapha Raji was recently reelected unopposed for a third and final term as president of the Liberia Football Association during the association’s elective congress held at the Football House in Monrovia.

The election also brought several new faces onto the Executive Committee while retaining a number of incumbent members.

Meanwhile, the Liberia Football Association is expected to hold its first Executive Committee meeting today at 5:00 PM following the conclusion of the elections and the formation of the new leadership structure.

Observers say the meeting could provide further clarity on committee assignments, administrative priorities, and the future direction of Liberian football under Raji’s renewed mandate.
