MONROVIA, Liberia / PHILADELPHIA, USA — A U.S.-based nonprofit organization, Sienneh Charity Care, has announced the arrival of a significant humanitarian shipment in Monrovia, comprising six barrels and two boxes filled with food supplies and other essential items.
The consignment represents the largest single donation by the organization since its establishment in 2023 in memory of Ma Sienneh Johnson Wolokolie. The shipment was fully financed by the group’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Alva Mulbah Wolokolie, underscoring his personal commitment to supporting vulnerable communities in Liberia.
Wolokolie, who is a Liberian journalist based in the US, said the initiative is aimed at alleviating hardship and providing relief to those most in need, particularly disadvantaged and underserved populations.
“This effort reflects our ongoing commitment to stand with vulnerable people and help ease some of the daily challenges they face,” he noted.

Building a Record of Humanitarian Support
The latest donation adds to a growing list of charitable interventions by Sienneh Charity Care in Monrovia.
In November 2023, the organization made its first major outreach, distributing over 100 pieces of washing soap to mothers of newborns at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital. Approximately 200 women in maternity wards benefited from that initiative.
Since then, the group has expanded its activities to include:
- Distribution of bags of rice and gallons of cooking oil to women and elderly residents
- Provision of hot meals to hundreds of individuals across several communities

Focus on Vulnerable Populations
Sienneh Charity Care says its mission is centered on addressing the needs of vulnerable groups, including individuals facing economic hardship and those living with intellectual disabilities.
The organization views its interventions as part of a broader effort to restore dignity and improve living conditions for marginalized communities.
With the arrival of its largest shipment to date, the group says it plans to scale up its outreach efforts and reach more beneficiaries in the coming months.
