MONROVIA, Liberia – The Inter-School Sports Association (ISSA) Zone-3 has successfully concluded its 2025/26 School League season with a colorful and exciting grand finale that celebrated athletic excellence, discipline, teamwork, and outstanding performances from participating schools.

The season featured highly competitive action in both kickball and football across the Junior High and Senior High divisions, providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents while promoting sportsmanship and healthy competition among students.

Champions Emerge

In the kickball competition, Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School captured the Junior High championship, while Lights Academy School emerged as champions in the Senior High division.

On the football field, Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School completed an impressive double by securing the Junior High football title, further cementing its dominance during the season. In the Senior High category, Morning Star School produced a stellar campaign to claim the championship trophy.

Individual and Institutional Excellence Recognized

Beyond the team championships, several schools, administrators, coaches, and student-athletes were honored for their exceptional contributions throughout the season.

Mother Victoria School received the award for Most Disciplined School in the Junior High division in recognition of its commitment to fair play, respect, and sportsmanship.

In the administration category, Daniel L. D. Yambi Sr. of Mother Victoria School and James B. M. Teahn of School of Prime System were recognized as Best Administrators for their leadership and support of school sports development.

The Best Sports Director awards went to George K. Dorbor Jr. of Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School and Lionel DePaul of Calvary Chapel for their outstanding efforts in promoting and managing sports programs within their institutions.

Outstanding Performers in Kickball

In kickball, Susannah K. Torlah and Victor Marshal Jr. earned recognition as Best Coaches in the Junior and Senior High divisions, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ruth Tumey of Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School and Esther Weamah of Morning Star School were named Most Valuable Players (MVPs) after delivering outstanding performances throughout the season.

Football Stars Shine

The football awards also highlighted several standout performers.

Emmanuel Q. Weeks of Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School and Eddie B. Gaydeh of Morning Star School received the Best Coach awards in the Junior and Senior High divisions, respectively.

The coveted Most Valuable Player honors went to Elijah S. K. Nyemah in the Junior High division and Samuel Flomo in the Senior High division for their exceptional displays on the field.

In front of goal, Joshua G. Boe of Harmon D. Yalartia Faith Foundation School and Emmette Kollie of Calvary Chapel finished as the leading scorers in the Junior and Senior High divisions, respectively.

Defensive excellence was recognized through Best Defender awards presented to Joseph King and Cyrus Nyenkoon, while Philip William and Willie Kota were honored as the season’s Best Goalkeepers.

Building the Future Through School Sports

The successful conclusion of the 2025/26 ISSA Zone-3 season once again underscored the vital role school sports play in identifying and nurturing young talent, promoting discipline, fostering teamwork, and encouraging academic institutions to invest in holistic student development.

Organizers congratulated all champions, award recipients, coaches, administrators, sports directors, and participating schools for contributing to a memorable and successful season.

With another exciting chapter now complete, attention is already turning to the 2026/27 campaign, where schools across Zone-3 will seek to build on this season’s achievements and continue raising the standard of inter-school sports competition.
